digical’s Guidelines
These rules and guidelines are designed to encourage robust, respectful and equitable discussion. CAL is in the business of ideas. Everyone’s ideas should be expressed, questioned and discussed in a manner that focuses on the merit of the opinion alone.
So, enjoy the debate and please respect the following:
- registration with a valid email address and name is required - organisation and position is optional;
- anonymous posts will not be allowed;
- posts will be limited to 800 characters (about 115 words) to assist in equity of display;
- participants will be able to make multiple posts throughout the debate;
- participants should not use multiple posting ability to dominate space on a topic;
- CAL will delete or edit posts deemed to be “inappropriate” (see below);
- posts will appear live after registration and CAL will not edit or delete posts other than 6 above;
- links to external sites will not be allowed except from within CAL’s monthly topic;
- references to external sites will be allowed except for those deemed “inappropriate”; and
- posts will be limited to plain text without formatting to ensure design equity of all posts.
Inappropriate Posts:
A post or external website reference will be deemed inappropriate if it:
- includes offensive language or references to external sites containing offensive language or images;
- contains personal criticism of any individual;
- attempts to use the site for commercial or personal purposes; or
- is part of multiple posting that unfairly dominates the discussion.
CAL’s Privacy Commitment:
CAL will keep confidential your registration details and will not provide them to any third party, either individual or organisation.
CAL will respect your right to unsubscribe.
